Strategic Objectives for 2006-2011

The Network finalized its Strategic Plan for the period 2006 – 2011.
Its strategic objectives which were rolled over from those we have in our previous Strategic Plan (2000-2005) are:

• Achieve consensus on the pertinent human rights, legal, policy and ethical issues that need to be addressed to fight HIV/AIDS;
• To integrate human rights, legal, policy and ethical issues related to HIV/AIDS in the work of civic and national, district and community leaders;
• Document and disseminate information on human rights, legal, policy and ethical issues related to HIV/AIDS;
• To contribute towards the establishment of a legal framework for responding to the human rights and legal implications of HIV/AIDS;
• To strengthen monitoring and evaluating the impact of UGANET activities.
• Facilitate the provision of legal redress and enforcement of laws for the protection of the rights of PLHAs as well as those who are affected by HIV/AIDS; and
• To strengthen UGANET’s capacity to achieve its long-term objectives.
