The Network's strategic objectives outlined under its Strategic Plan (2006 - 2011) are:

• To achieve consensus on pertinent legal, policy human rights and ethical issues arising in the context of HIV/AIDS.



• To integrate human rights, legal policy and ethical issues related to HIV/AIDS in the work of civic and political leaders at national, district and community level.



• To document and disseminate information on legal, ethical and human rights issues related to HIV/AIDS.



• To facilitate the provision of legal redress and enforcement of laws for the protection of the rights of PLHAs.



• To contribute towards the establishment of a legal framework for responding to the legal implications of HIV/AIDS.



• To establish a system for monitoring and evaluating the impact of UGANET's activities.
